I incorporated a great deal of ...Great question!

I incorporated a great deal of research into the story. Much of it is in the way supernatural events transpire in the story--and in reality. One of the things I hope readers will come away with is a better understanding of how the spirit realm operates from a Biblical perspective. There are amazing and fascinating correlations between light and sound that are elucidated as well. If you really want to delve deeper, grab a copy of my non-fiction work, In the Cleft of the Rock: Insights into the Blood of Jesus, Resurrection Power, and Saving the Soul. I have several chapters that talk about Light--especially one that illuminates the relationship of light to blood.--our blood and the blood of Jesus.

I humbly disagree with you on your point about light and quantum physics not making a great story. God created EVERYTHING out of and using Light. Light is Spirit. Spirit is Light. Quantum physics and the Bible are NOT at odds. Quite the contrary. Quantum physics is only just now touching the awe and wonder that is Light. Nearly a hundred years ago, Werner Heisenberg shook up the world of physics with the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. The Bible had him beat by a LONG shot. Quantum physicists are still scratching their heads over his theory, and just now starting to fully understand the implications of both his and Einstein's theories, as they relate to Light.

You will likely be challenged when you read Infernal Gates, and In the Cleft of the Rock to sit down with your Bible and press into a long, deep, ultimately revelatory, and hopefully ongoing conversation with Holy Spirit about Light.

And that's exactly one of the things I hope happens! :)Michael Jack Webbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16474432162458012583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-374890314421273101.post-19103768119936871732013-10-04T00:54:01.107-07:002013-10-04T00:54:01.107-07:00Michael, so excited to read Debbie's review an...Michael, so excited to read Debbie's review and the background on yourself and your stories. I am an older student at LIberty University and studying psychology/Christian counseling. I was fascinated with the apologetics class and the explanation of probability of accidental formation of the universe versus creation. Your book sounds like something I would really enjoy and I will definitely be looking for it soon. Always fascinated with empirical evidence, not for my own faith, that is pretty solid, but for apologetical purposes. I understand that a discussion of light and quantum physics would not make a great story. Or maybe I underestimate it!
My question is this - how much of your research on the properties of light were you able to incorporate into the novel and will the reader be more educated about it?
