ReplyDeleteyes, my children are grown and have children of there own and my husband is gone all week and I know when I am alone sometimes I don't want to get up because "Noone is here but me!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love your blog page! Yes, being in love makes everything worth doing, especially getting up in the morning. And we all need to forgive or receive forgiveness whether we are unhappy or not, but unhappiness needs more of everything in our lives in order to see Him more clearly and find the joy which is ours through loving Him. ReplyDeleteBeing in love with Jesus is plenty enough to get up for, but having a clear vision of His purpose for you makes it much easier, whether or not there's a man in your life. Happiness is a choice. Joy is a gift from God we can have even when we're not "happy." But forgiveness makes joy possible.

ReplyDeleteYes, however, that's a feeling and the deeper commitment underneath it is when it gets real.

That's often true. Bitter people are unhappy people. If your holding onto anger and hate it blocks your happiness and ability to hear Father.
Although both are good statements.. I like - being "full of" love makes every morning worth getting up for..
ReplyDeleteA person so unhappy.. how sad that it could rely on human forgiveness to be happy.. When He forgives, the Son will shine!

Each day should be a day to get up with Jesus walking by our side. It is sad that some individuals are so unhappy or hold on to a hurt that they cannot enjoy each new day God gives. God's love, joy, peace, grace and mercy is enough to get us going each day. Prayers for others who are experiencing God's gifts. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Faithhope75athotmailDotCom
ReplyDeleteBoth of these statements are definitely something to ponder. "Being in love makes every morning worth getting up for" - is a beautiful quote. My late husband was the love of my life, and every day was unique, special, and full of being in love. Even thought he's gone, I'm still in love with him. I also love my family, my 3rd grade students, life, and the Lord.
ReplyDelete"A person so unhappy surely needed to give or receive forgiveness-maybe both." I think both giving and receiving forgiveness are important - every day, for all of us. Life is full of heartache and sorrow if we can not do both.

yes, love does make the day worth living and makes it exciting to get up! Unhappy people may very well be in need of receiving or offering forgiveness. Unforgiveness drives bitterness. Thanks, Rhonda nashhall@aol.com

ReplyDelete:) It's certainly true that being in love or having your heart's desire makes it so much easier to get out of bed in the morning. But we tend to forget that God loves us so much more than anyone else ever could. If our thoughts went here first in the morning, we'd never have a hard time getting out of bed.
"A person so unhappy surely needed to give or receive forgiveness-maybe both."
Bitterness is the root of so much evil, most of which lives inside the person. This is certainly a true statement, but unhappiness can come from other things aside from unforgiveness. Sin and pride can also make you unhappy.
