Forgiveness, grace, mercy, and community are part of this story as well as bitterness between family members. This book is more than a sweet and fun Christmas story. It covers a lot of topics. I really felt sorry for Diana as her parents seemed to be selfish and only thought of themselves. I would like to read to read more about these characters.
This was a great novel but I think there were a lot of topics that needs to be explained more, I am hoping that this book will lead to more novels about the subjects that was touch on in this book, such as if someone is really pregnant or not ( we are told it was a test of faithless). I know that the characters got married but it seems they aren't happy. I want to know more about the parents and the aloofness, yes, I know Diana is a grown adult but still to completely go out the country and not let her know.
I have a lot of questions that need to be answered but I still enjoyed this book and am recommending it for December's book in a book club I am in.
