"The Great Thirst" Part Six and Seven by Mary C. Findley

In association with The Edge Books www.TheEdgeBooks.blogspot.com
"Mexico is where you need to be" rings in Keith and Talia's ears in the midst of astounding miracles and crushing heartaches. They meet a blast from Drew Summers' past but wonder if his newest team member can be trusted after a death and a disappearance lead to too many questions. Keith discovers more than one stunning secret at a forgotten Olmec ball court, but disaster may seal the fate of his Golden Testament search once and for all. When God says stop, Keith may have no choice but to listen. Talia struggles to protect Keith's father from deadly enemies but she's not even sure Keith enjoys sweet reunions with family and students when the Mexico field trip finally becomes a reality. Parents lash out against the Bradleys with bitter accusations of fracturing their families and teaching their children to hate them. Hiding in plain sight can only go so far when a cartel drug lord, an educational authority, and someone who insists on documenting her own truth prepare for a final showdown. Cherub Bradley's long-anticipated arrival sparks tender and terrifying consequences. Joshua Bradley's call to face the lions leads to fiery confrontations no one expected. Keith determines that it's time for them to stop running, and to make their enemies move instead. Easier said than done, if one distraught parent's confession is true. The full force of the US and Mexican governments might rise up in answer to the cries of a cult putting children in danger.h will be there to see Cherub Bradley's birth.

My Review:
I have already reviewed the first five books in this series and here is the link if you would like to read it : http://debbieloseanything.blogspot.com/2015/10/the-great-thirst-archaeological-mystery.html

These last two books are great and as exciting as the other five. The action and suspense will keep you wondering what is next.

I would definitely recommend these for middle teens and adults, I am 56 and love them. I really think you should read them in order.

I loved the characters in this series. There are characters in these books that are the villains but then they change and help the good guys. No, that statement isn't a spoiler alert, I didn't tell who.

I really enjoyed reading this series. There are some intense moments in theses stories. I think these would really make a great movie.

I am giving "The Great Thirst " part 5 and 6, five stars each.

I was cheering the crew on as they were hunting the Great Testimonies.

I was given a complementary copy from the author. These opinions are my own.

Author Bio:

They say write what you know. Mary C. Findley has poured her real life into her writing -- From the cover designs inspired by her lifelong art studies to the love of pets and country life that worm their way into her historicals. The never-say-die heroes in her twenty-some fiction works are inspired by her husband, a crazy smart man with whom she co-writes science and history-based nonfiction. These works were jump-started by a deep awareness of the dangers in our future if we don't understand ideological enemies rooted in the past. She's a strong believer in helping others and also has books about publishing advice and the need to have strong standards in reading and writing.

She has traveled internationally and around the lower 48 and Canada multiple times. Anecdotes from her small town life, college experiences, European, Canadian, and south-of-the border travels, as well as adventures as shotgun rider in a tractor trailer fill her contemporary works. She has also donned the cloak of alt-Victorian adventuress as Sophronia Belle Lyon, steampunk writer with her own League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (and ladies) from the great 1800s novelists. In all her works you will find faith, family, friendship and fulfilling stories. Do come have a look!

Praise for Benny and the Bank Robber: "Looked like a kids book. It really surprised me with a lot of interesting twists and being deeply spiritual."

Chasing the Texas Wind: "This story has many twists and turns throughout the plot and keeps the reader on their toes and they struggle, along with the characters, to solve the mystery of this intriguing tale."

Antidisestablishmentarianism: "This book will give you all the ammunition you need to get yourself straightened out and those you know and love. I recommend you get it and read it."

Fifty Shades of Faithful: "I liked the way the characters were not one dimensional but complicated, especially the men in the stories."

The Baron's Ring: "What I got was a story unlike any other. A story of love of family, love of community, a love of people...all intertwined with the love of God and sharing that love. I just could not put it down."

Hope and the Knight of the Black Lion: "For those who love medieval history, the Crusader period in England, all things knights and espionage, everyday estate life, and purity of period detail, you will find an absolute GEM in this story."

The Great Thirst" "Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!"

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: "Fantastic Scriptural commentary. The writing shows a deep and profound understanding of the whole counsel of God."
