"Redeeming Grace" by Ward Tanneberg is definetly a 5 star book in my opinion. All I can say is Wow. I don't usually like thrillers but this book changed my mind! This book has murder, evil, and good and in the end you realize that God is on His throne. This book makes you believe that good does win in the end and greed does not ! I loved the different characters and the descriptions in the different settings in this story. I could actually see the story being played out in my mind as I was reading it. This would make a great movie, it would have violence so not sure it will be suitable for young children but I am sure adults would love it as a movie
This book starts out with the mystery and then goes to the present and then back and forth between the two, but I feel that is what made it such a great read! It really kept me wanting to finish the book to see what was going to happen. Now that I have finished the book I want a sequel to see what happens to the other characters in the story!
Grace and her two friends are enjoying a dinner at a hotel when a gentleman asks them to be dinner companions for some real powerful and rich guys at a party on a yacht. He pays them a thousands dollars and buys them new outfits for the occasion. What could go wrong? But things did go wrong, her two friends are murdered and Grace is forced to run and has to have a new identify for seven long years. One little mistake and her secret was discovered! It was a good thing that her secret was found out! Why was it a good thing, read the book and see if you again with me!
I received this book from www.bookfun.org to read and post my honest opinion.
This book is available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble

"A Hometown Fourth of July" by June Foster
"A Hometown Fourth of July" by June Foster is another 5 star story. This book deals with forgiveness and love and adoption and service to the less fortunate.
Max is a son of wealthy parents but he feels like a part of him is missing because he is adopted. His parents will not answered his question about his birth mother. After meeting,Lynn at the Fourth Of July Celebration in Ft. Freedom. Washington Max asked her to do a search for his birth mother, He founds her but it is 2 weeks after she dies from Cancer. Lynn and Max fall in love but can they put their trust issues aside. This is a delightful story about how they do that and how they adopted a special little boy named Pedro. I think if you want a feel good book about life than this is a good book to spend an afternoon reading, you won't be disappointed.
This is the 4th book of June Foster's that I have read and I have loved all the characters and the different story lines. These are stories that leave you believing that God knows know and care about you.

"Scent Of Lilacs" by Ann H. Gabhart
"Scent Of Lilacs" by Ann H. Gabhart gets 5 stars from me. I have to be honest and say I was shocked that this story contained 2 curse words, 1 was only used once and the other was used 7 times on 2 pages and then 1 other time. I know the reason and it fits the story but I was shocked. This story shows that love between a father and daughters and God's love is what really matters in a person's life.
Jocie's mother left in the middle of the night with Jocie's sister, leaving her father to raise Jocie. David, Jocie's father, was a preacher who also ran the local newspaper office. He is trying to found a church that wants him full time. One member in the church is really against him but why? I will leave that to you to discover for yourself. Aunt Love was living with them and she was always quoting Bible verses to Jocie, but forgot most other things. Jocie had two prayers that she prayed the most for (a dog prayer and a sister's prayer. One day a dog found her and then the next day her sister came home. Her sister has a secret and the dog was digging in a cave and discover a secret from Aunt Love's past. When I read Aunt Love's secret I really felt her pain and thought "How could someone be so cruel"?
When Jocie learns a secret about herself she runs away and a storm happens and she finds shelter in a church but then she smells lilacs and God leads her out of the church right before a tornado destroyed the church. I wish this book was first in a series of books I want to know more about David and Jocie and Aunt Love and Tabitha (Jocie's sister) and the other character's in this story. I would recommend this book to mature teens and adults.
I was given a free copy of this book by the publisher via The Book Club Network (bookfun.org) for an honest review

Dragonfly Bookmark by Kerri's Kreations
The Dragonfly Bookmark by Kerri's Kreations is so beautiful. It was custom made by Kerri's Kreations. Kerri herself has a neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis. Kerri's Kreations was started by Kerri making bracelets to raise awareness for MG, and then earrings and she was receiving requests for key fobs and bookmarks. Kerri now donate 10% of all of her proceeds to Purely MG Awareness,( for MG research).
I have looked at Kerri's jewelry on her Facebook page Kerri's Kreations Facebook Page. and I think they are just absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. She has earrings, necklace, keychains and bookmarks and cell phone accessories.
The bookmarks are just great. I have the dragonfly bookmark and when people have seen it they ask where I got it from. I am planning on buying a couple of the bookmarks for the readers on my Christmas list and I am even thinking on buying a couple to use as a giveaway in my own book club group on Facebook. I have had plenty of bookmark in the past but this dragonfly is my favorite because it won't bend and fade with use and it won't slip out of the book as easily as a paper bookmark would do.
This lovely dragonfly bookmark is accented with dragonfly spacers, and an enamel dragonfly charm at the bottom. It has polished stone hearts and Czech crystals in purple, and faux pink pearls.
Come see for yourself! all the wonderful products available at www.kerriscreations.com.
I received a free copy of this book/Ebook/Product to review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations. I am part of The CWA Review Crew

"Murray Pura's American Civil War Series - Cry Of Freedom - Volume 2 - The Last Waltz" is another 5 star book. I loved this story and by the end of it, the tears was falling. The ending was so sad. The ending is what made this story realitistic. The following quotes are from a conversion I had with Murray Pura's about this story
"I loved those characters - but she needed to represent all the young wives whose husbands never came home to them again - people must realize the war wasn't all romance and heroism - it really was a war like ww2 - sometimes when you write you want to change everything - but i knew in this story her love would not return but they had that last day . . ." and ""but i hate losing lovely characters too - all writers do".
Having the authors talk about their stories and feelings make a book come alive more! Don't you agreed!
Charity and Mitchell Davis had one last day to enjoy and share their love. Mitchell was supposed to die after a bullet hit him in the chest but he prayed and asked God to give him on more day to be with Charity. His prayer is answered and Charity and Mitchell get one more day and they share a Last Waltz. This story will be with me for a long time.
I am eagerly awaiting volume 3 in this story! And I promise you that if you read this story it will leave you wanting more also!
"Murray Pura's Cry of Freedom - Volume 1 - Return To Shirley Plantation (Murray Pura's American Civil War Series - Cry of Freedom)" by Carrie Fancett Pagels
"Murray Pura's Cry of Freedom - Volume 1 - Return To Shirley Plantation (Murray Pura's American Civil War Series - Cry of Freedom)" by Carrie Fancett Pagels gets 5 stars from me. I was going to wait till these volumes came out as a complete book but I can honestly say I am glad I didn't but now I will be in line ( I know no lines for an ebook, but you all know what I mean) with all those others that are eagerly waiting for the next installment of these great stories. If you haven't brought short novells and wanted to try and see what the new big thing in ebook was this is the series to try if you like history and romance in the same story!
Matthew Scott was owner of Scott's Theatrical Troupe and he was abduction into the army to be a Confederate solider. Angelina Rose was a freed slave but was a servant in the Carter's household when the Army takes over Shirley Plantation. Angelina pretends to be a widow but the attraction is instant between Matthew and Angelina. There is a secret that Matthew doesn't know and when he does find out the reader learns the reason for the title to this story. This story is both heartwarming as well as heartbreaking like moments in wartime are. Does the war allow Matthew and Angelina to be together and will Angelina's dream of going to Ohio finally happened? I recommend this series to everyone!

"UnBreakable" by Nancy Mehl
Nancy Mehl lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband Norman, and her very active puggle, Watson. She's authored thirteen books and is currently at work on a new romantic suspense series for Bethany House Publishing.
All of Nancy's novels have an added touch - something for your spirit as well as your soul. "I welcome the opportunity to share my faith through my writing," Nancy says. "It's a part of me and of everything I think or do. God is number one in my life. I wouldn't be writing at all if I didn't believe that this is what He's called me to do. I hope everyone who reads my books will walk away with the most important message I can give them: God is good, and He loves you more than you can imagine. He has a good plan especially for your life, and there is nothing you can't overcome with His help." She and her husband attend Believer's Tabernacle in Wichita.
You can find out more about… Read more
"UnBreakable" by Nancy Mehl gets 5 stars from me!This book is the 2nd in The Road To Kingdom Series. This book is as wonderful as the first in the series "Inescapable" You do not need to read Inescapable to like this story. This book kept me turning the pages to see who was the enemy and why!
Hope Kauffinan is engaged to Ebbie Miller but has feelings for Johnathan. When Ebbie calls off their engagement, Hope cannot stop comparing the two! Who will she end up choosing? But that isn't the only thing Hope is concern with, someone is burning the Mennonite churches and running the Mennonites off the road. So the elders and the town people are not in agreement how to protect themselves. Some believe they need to use violence and others believe in the tradition of nonviolence. But there is always a red truck around when these crimes are committed. The people of Kingdom try to get help from Sheriff Ford but he isn't much help. I kept trying to guess the guilty person but I kept changing my mind on who it was and didn't even guess one of the guilty ones! While reading this story I found myself cheering at points and at other times booing the characters actions. If you like mysteries and romances in a story then The Road To Kingdom Series is a good one to read!
I was given a copy by the author for an honest review!

AS WE FORGIVE by June Foster
"As We Forgive" by June Foster is another 5 star book. This is the second book in the Bellewood Series but it can be a standalone also, but I would recommend reading the whole series in order.
As We Forgive is about Tim Garrett's issue of not being able to control his anger. His dream is to be a pastoral counselor and Johnny is making it hard for him to succeed as he is doing everything to make him angry. It is also Roxanne struggle with overspending. Like the other books in this series this story has lessons we can all apply to our own lives. Tim and Roxanne are in love but are afraid of letting their love grow because of their issues of anger and the overspending. They both have to learn to forgive their fathers. Tim is about to lose his position as youth pastor and not getting a give report to take to another church. I won't tell you the end result but you will be surprised to learn that not only Tim and Roxanne have secrets they want hidden but the Senior pastor and Johnny and Johnny's father have secrets too. I really believe this series is ONE OF THE BEST SERIES I HAVE READ, if you apply the lessons the characters in this series learned you will become closer to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER!

"Give Us This Day" by June Foster
"Give Us This Day" by June Foster is another 5 star book. It is the first book in the Bellewood Book series. This is the second in the series that I have read and of the two this is my favorite. Both books deals with accepting forgiveness. I borrowed this book but I am going to have to get my own copy as I want to read this book again as it has messages that I feel I can use in my own struggle of food addiction. Yes, this book is about food addiction and how a person used food to comfort themselves instead of letting God comfort them the way he wants to.
The books starts off with Jess and Holly getting struck in an elevator and before that all Holly can think about is the overweight guy on the elevator with her. Then when they get struck, Jess prays and the attraction starts. This story is about their struggles and their love. They are in love but both have secrets they feel will turn the other away. Holly has an artifical leg and Jess (well Jess's secret isn't hidden or a secret) has a food addiction. This book tells about their ups and downs in the relationships. I keep wanting to get to the end so I could see if Holly and Jess ended up as a couple and if Jess was able to turn his addiction over to God and if Holly could convince him of her love. I was surprised at the ending (not with Jess and Holly) but with their family members. I think this book would help alot of people if they took the time and really read this book and believed the Biblical principals discussed in this story. Yes, the story is fictional but it could have happen and I sure it did somewhere!

a giveaway by Marianne Evans the author of Devotion
Debbie Curto’s amazing review of Devotion has inspired me to make a special offering to readers of her blog…an autographed, print copy of my Christian fiction debut to someone who leaves a comment (and an e-mail addy so we can connect with you! Don’t forget that important detail!) describing the impact and importance of a long-term relationship in their life. Devotion centers on marriage and that’s certainly one of the most important commitments we cultivate, but what about friendships that have seen their share of joys and sorrows? What about family relationships?
How does the process of building connections affect you? I’d love to hear about it! Leave a comment and your e-mail, and you’re entered in the giveaway to win a book that I pray will be a blessing. Meanwhile, please enjoy the blurb and a brief excerpt from Devotion, which Debbie was kind enough to say, “Devotion is a 5 stars book. I would give this story more than 5 if I could. If I’m invited to a bridal shower and the bride-to-be likes to read, this book might be one of the presents in her bag of gifts. Yes, I loved the story that well.”
Thanks again for your lovely endorsement and for opening the doors of your blog, Debbie. Good luck everyone, and I can’t wait to meet you and chat!

'Til Death Do Us Part
When human frailty and the allure of sin deal a harsh blow to their relationship, it will take more than love to mend the shattered trust and heartbreak. It will take a lifetime of devotion.

EXCERPT:
The church space sang to Juliet in a holy silence that wrapped around her like a welcome embrace. She knelt to pray, heedless of the fact that there were no kneelers in the pews of Trinity Christian. The hard tile floor felt good beneath her knees, and somehow grounding.
“God, what did I do wrong? We didn’t argue, we didn’t fight, we moved forward together in our marriage. Why did he leave it behind? How was that even possible for him? How did I fail him? And You?”
She sobbed openly, speaking the words aloud, heedless of being overheard. The space was empty anyhow. She laid her head on her folded hands trying desperately to bring herself to a new understanding of her life.
My promises are unchanging truth, and life. Your faith will save you. Go forward in peace, and be cured of your affliction.
The words, the glimpse of sacred Scripture, resounded through the entirety of her being. The decree swept through her with such power she went straight, tears drying on her cheeks as she blinked, and assimilated. Had she not already been on her knees, the summons would have knocked her there like the weakened heap of humanity she had become. She pondered. Go forward? In peace? How was she supposed to accomplish that? In prompt, near supernatural response, she received the answer.
Know that I am God, Juliet. Know that I am God.
She bowed her head, drained and empty, submitting herself as best she could. Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed down the main aisle.
“Juliet?”
The call jarred her. She whipped her head around and gasped at what she saw. Kellen.
Kellen?
Did she simply think his name, or had she spoken it aloud? Stunned and overwrought, Juliet scrambled to her feet. In an untidy spin, she faced her husband. Just as quickly, she went weak, sinking onto the pew just a second or two after standing. She didn’t need a mirror to tell her that her makeup was smeared and her hair was a mess. She knew by the heat in her cheeks that her face was flushed; her eyes were probably red from crying. Kellen’s alarmed expression confirmed every one of her suspicions.
“Juliet, are you OK? Please talk to me. This is driving me crazy. What’s happened to you, love?”
Love. The use of that endearment caused her stomach to churn. Anger rose and obliterated everything else. “Don’t.” Kellen’s confusion intensified. “I mean it, Kellen. Do not call me that again. Not ever again!” She bit off the words; their bitter taste filled her mouth.
He reared back. Although he hesitated for a moment, he eased into the pew next to her. A mask of sorts, protective and inscrutable, now shaded his eyes. He didn’t speak. He waited on her, keeping to his corner of the pew. Juliet simmered and seethed. Just as quickly, though, the anger fled, washed away by a wave of sadness that stretched clear through to every cell in her body.
“This moment is killing me, Kellen, on so many levels. I’ve dreamed about it since the day we married, imagining it to be bursting with joy and anticipation. Instead, it’s breaking my heart. “
“What moment? What happened?” Generally fearless and confident, Kellen regarded her now in open trepidation. “I have no idea what to do to hel—”
“I’ll never have another chance to say this to you for the first time,” Juliet interjected, “or share this moment with you the way I had always envisioned. I’m pregnant, Kellen. I’m pregnant.”
A mix of emotions swept across his face. Disbelief came first, erased quickly by joy, then the most crushing visual of all: his love, intimate and rich. It had once made her feel so precious. Despite her vocal firestorm, his reaction was everything she had prayed for. This moment should have made her heart soar. Instead, she was shattered.
“You seem shocked.” The words came out sounding waspish. Juliet hated that fact, but couldn’t escape the rage and heartbreak. The venom inside her needed release.
“I’m very happily shocked.” His response came fast, but sincere. “We’ve wanted this for so long, I’m thrilled—no wonder you’ve been feeling—”
“I’m sure you’ll remember the night it happened.” Juliet cut him off once more. “It was spontaneous and heated and wonderful. Remember? There were no thoughts of anything else but each other. Or so I had believed. But if you do the math, you’ll realize we conceived the night you met Chloe Havermill.”
Kellen went pale.

"Deliver us" gets 5 stars from me. Once I started this book I had to keep reading till I finished it! This books deals with the guilt and shame that is felt after a woman has an abortion and also deals with how an ex con comes to realize that not one sin is greater than another in God's eyes.
Even though abortion is a hard subject to deal with I feel June Foster has done a fantastic job with this story. She tells about how God uses the past and the sins of the past to work out things for the good. This story is a love story but not in the tradition sense, it is more a love story between God and his children. As I was reading I could feel Jillian and Riley's pain. I found myself wanting to pray for the characters in this book even through they aren't real people (yes I really get into books that I read). I would recommend this book to anyone that needs to forgive themselves for past mistakes and sins that God has already forgiven and forgotten. I can't wait to read book 1 and book 2 in this series. June Foster is now on my list as one of my favorite authors.
I was given a ebook copy from the author for an honest review.

"Devotion" by Marianne Evans is a 5 stars book. I would give this story more than 5 if I could. This story had me captivated from page 1. Even through it was fiction it could have been written about a real life couple and a troubled marriage. This story teaches us that just because we are God's children we are not safe from temptation and that we need to be aware that only listening to His voice will save us.
Kellen Rossiter was a married man and a Christian and a successful business man. He had A-lists clients in the music industry. His wife Juliet had the perfect life and was able to spend time and money helping the underprivileged. But their life wasn't what it seemed. They both spend time perusing their own interests. Then one fateful night Kellen wants Juliet to go to meet a client with him but she refused and Kellen meets Chloe. The attraction is felt by both Chloe and Kellen and Kellen ignores all the whispers in his soul by God till one day he makes a terrible mistake and Juliet learns about it at a big party for her grand opening of a center for the underprivileged. They have been married for 9 years and their biggest dream is starting a family and Juliet founds out she is pregnant about the time she learns of Kellen's betrayal. How can Juliet forgive Kellen and learn to trust him again? But then again is it all Kellen's fault or must Juliet bear some of the blame for the weakened state of their marriage? I believe this book is one that could be read time and time again to get points on how to keep your own marriages from being in such a state as it teaches Biblical points from different Scriptures! This book is one that I would recommend and if I am invited to a bridal shower and the bride-to be likes to read this book might be one of the presents in her bag of gifts from me. Yes I loved the story that well.

That Summer by Jo Huddleston
Jo Huddleston is a multi-published author of books, articles, and short stories. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and a member of the Literary Hall of Fame at Lincoln Memorial University (TN). She holds a M.Ed. degree from Mississippi State University.
Amazon Link"That Summer" by Jo Huddleston gets 5 stars from me. This is book 1 in The Caney Creek Series.
This book had me hooked from page one! I had to keep reading to see what happened next!
This book is written about the early days of the Great Depression to the 1950's and about the Appalachians Mountains.
Jim Callaway meets Louisa at the county Fair and wins her a teddy bear and their fate is sealed or so they think. Jim's poppa is mean and critical of Jim, so Jim leaves the mountains and goes to work at the Southeastern Hosiery Mill. While working there he meets the boss's daughter Caroline and the attraction on both sides are hard to ignore. Jim dates both Louisa and Caroline. But Jim gives into temptation with Carolina and an unwanted pregnancy happens and Caroline is forced by her parents to leave town and they vow never to have anything to do with her if she keeps the baby. Jim marries Louisa and have a child. Both children grow up and as fate ( or as I believe God) would have they meet in college and fall in love! I won't give any more of the book away but leave you with this you have to read this book to see how Jim and Caroline handle this problem. This book is also God's forgiveness and how He will forgive someone if they just ask. I recommend this book wholeheartly. I am so eagerly awaiting book 2 in this series.

Florian's Gate by Davis Bunn
Davis Bunn is the author of over nineteen national bestsellers, and his books have sold over six million copies in sixteen languages. The recipient of three Christy Awards, Bunn currently serves as writer-in-residence at Oxford University.
Jeffrey Sinclair is hired by Alexander Kantor, a relative, to assist him in his antiques shop. But why is Alexander' trips and where the antiques come from such a mystery. One day while Alexander is gone away on another trip Jeffrey has to have help and decides to ask Katya Nichols to help him out. That decision leads him to hire Katya full time. There is also attraction there. One day Alexander asks Jeffery to make a trip and take Katya with him as she could translated the language. They were two stay there two days and then Jeffrey was to meet Alexander and go with him on another trip. This trip he met Gregor, another relative who was part of Alexander secret. It was on this trip that changed Alexander's life (he let go of bitter memories and gave them to God at least that is how I took the ending, if you read this book and believe something else happened I hope you will add a comment to this and let me know) and it changed Jeffrey,I know he turned backed to God. This book brings up some lessons we can all learn about suffering and why God allows it. In this book you will learn things about the war and Communists you might not have known. This book is fiction but the antiques described are real and do exist and the terrible abuse suffered by the people was based on actual fact. And once again in the end the boy gets the girl. I would recommend this book.
