Michelle Janene lives and works in Northern California, though most days she blissfully exists in the medieval creations of her mind. She is a devoted teacher, a dysfunctional housekeeper, and a dedicated writer. She released her first novella Mission: Mistaken Identity in the fall of 2015, followed by seven novels, and has been published in several anthologies. She leads two critique groups and is the founder of Strong Tower Press—Indie solutions for indie authors.
"Rebel's Son" by Michelle Janene is book two of the "Changed Hearts" series. I really liked it much better than the first book. I think a reader could enjoyed this book without reading the first one, but I am glad I read the first one to get the full story.
This story is about how evil can become a part of a person if they don't really let God have their hearts. I really was surprised at the outcome but I loved the ending. This story is also about how forgiveness from God cannot be earned but must be accepted.
I really recommend this book to readers that like stories about characters who are anything but nice characters and are changed by God and undergoes a complete change.
I am eager awaiting to read book three of this series.
I was given a complimentary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit. These opinions are mine own.

After a time, Shirley’s heart aches for companionship. Little does she know that living a few miles from her home, a widower mourns the loss of his wife of 32 years. They meet and fall hopelessly in love, and their love takes them on a two-year journey of joy and adventure until once again overwhelming heartbreak rocks Shirley’s world. This is a story of faith and courage to strengthen your own soul.
"Second Chances" by Shirley Quiring Mozena is a story of love and loss. It is also a story of faith and not giving up on God. This book is a story of a women finding love twice and losing both to death.
Yes, I cried because I keep thinking about the last 5 days of mom's life and I felt the author's sense of loss but I also felt her peace about knowing where Bill and Blair were and that she would see them again. I know losing a husband isn't the same as losing a parent, but grief and loss is something we all experience.
At the end of the book, I was thinking I want to know more about what her life is like now and then I seen where she has written another book and I just have to get it.
This story has definitely shown me that we need to cherish every moment with our loved ones and to show love whenever we get a chance because life is really short and we never know when the chance to love someone is going to be our lasts.
I appreciate the author's honestly in telling her story and showing that even in the trials and heartaches of life, God is in the midst and never leaves us alone.
I was given a complimentary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit. These opinions are my own.

Book: LEADERS, NATIONS, AND GOD Genre: Non-Fiction, Christian Bible Study
Release Date: September 19, 2013
LEADERS, NATIONS, AND GOD invites readers to a six-week journey to explore the Bible’s message for the nations of the world, their leaders, and for Christians who live as citizens of those nations. By focusing on the biblical history of Israel and the United States, the reader discovers the nature of true, faithful leadership and the consequences when a leader compromises, as well as the sorts of nations that God may bless. Marta E. Greenman helps readers understand how scriptural principles apply to nations and to individuals alike.
By asking and answering these questions, the paths of humble obedience for individuals and nations become clear.
Each day’s study begins by encouraging the reader to write their prayer before they begin to examine the biblical history of Israel and/or the United States. The reader gathers insights from scripture to bring understanding of God’s ideal for nations and leaders. Questions dig deeply into lessons from the Bible, history, and the influences on one’s own life. Each day’s study comes with highlighted “Questions to Ponder” and ends with prayer.
If you find yourself drawn to explore God’s will for nations and individuals, if you wonder what biblical obedience might look like in your daily life, then Leaders, Nations, and God will meet your need for a study grounded in the Bible and focused on God’s desires for His people.
"Leaders, Nations, & God" by Marta E. Greenman is a Bible study focusing on the Biblical history of Israel and the United States. Each day the author asks you to write out a prayer and then there are questions to answer. These questions are easy to answer if you have your Bible and if you read the paragraphs before the questions. There are charts to filled out as well. This study is easily to follow and I believe it would make a change in how you view your life. I was really shocked when I read this sentence on page 3 of the study" Everyone is a leader in some capacity, even if the only person you lead is yourself." I haven't finished the study but I have looked at other studies by Marta E Greenman and through I haven't have a chance to finish them all, I will go back and finish them all because they remind me of the scripture in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed. The questions to ponder are like these two questions and they required you to honestly ponder them, "Do you see the Lord blessing or cursing America? and "What blessings or curses do you see?"

What a profound statement made by George Santayana, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” As Christians we need to learn those who have gone before us. In Leaders, Nations, and God we look at the history of the Children of Israel and America’s Founding Fathers to become men and women who understand the time and know how to navigate the troubled waters of today. We look at questions like “Who does God consider to be a leader?” What kind of nation does the Lord bless?” “Did America’s Founding Fathers really set up our country on Judeo-Christian values?”
Border patrol agent Jocelyn Walker has no memory of how she turned up unconscious with a cache of drugs—or why a gang is dead set on killing her. With evidence stacking up against her, Joss takes refuge with driven DEA agent Dylan Murphy, who guards—and suspects— her. But will finally trusting each other lead them into a trap they’ll never escape?
"Fatal Memories" by Tanya Stowe is a book that drew in from the first sentence to the last one. I read it in one setting and I have to say I figured out how some of it was going to end, but some of it was a surprise as well.
This book definitely will keep a reader on the edge of their seat.
If you like books with danger at every corner then "Fatal Memories" is one that you need to read. I like that the main character Joss, is reminded that even through she is going though trials and persecution, that she isn't alone because God is with her. I am thankful that even when other memories are absent, God's words stay with us.
This story clearly shows that things aren't always the way they appear.
I received a complimentary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit. These opinions are my own.

It has long been my husband’s desire to travel the country in a motorhome. So when he retired three years ago, we sold our home and hit the road. We lived in the high desert region of Southern California for almost 37 years. I thought it was going to be a rough transition, but it wasn’t…especially since I came to love one of our new locations.
We spend the winter months in southern Arizona where Fatal Memories is set. I love everything about this unique place. We are surrounded by incredible ecosystems…the Sonoran and Chihuahua deserts collide there, so a different environment is around every corner. The beauty of the mountains, streams and lakes (yes, there’s water in southern Arizona—monsoons come up from Baja every summer) and the wildlife is amazing. I’ve been told black panthers have been known to cross the border from Mexico and roam the countryside. My husband and I bought a Jeep so we could go off-roading to see these sites up close and personal.
In addition to all these amazing natural wonders, history jumps out and grabs me. I’m just twenty minutes from Tombstone. Fort Huachuca and Fort Bowie are forty miles away in different directions. Every time I turn around, there’s a history making site or event to grab my interest. I hope you can see why I fell in love with my new home. I hope you will too when you read Fatal Memories.
By the way…if you interested, I write about our travels in my monthly newsletter. Be sure to check it out!
Bestselling author Kristy Cambron concludes the Lost Castle novels with this sweeping tale of art and secrets long buried in England.
It was supposed to be a one-week job: survey an art find, collect a hefty fee, and use that to settle historian Kiera Foley’s life back into balance. But from the moment she sets foot in the East Suffolk countryside, the mysteries surrounding the old English manor and the enigmatic art thief who’s employed her stir more questions than answers. Then, Kiera finds the existence of a portrait captivating enough to upend all of her expectations. This one could be a twin-a painting so close in composition to a known masterpiece, it may be rendered priceless if it truly captured the likeness of a young Queen named Victoria.
Set in three time periods-the rapid change of Victorian England, the tumultuous skies over England’s eastern shores in WWII, and modern day-The Painted Castle unfolds a legacy of faith, family, and stories that are generations in the making.
"The Painted Castle" by Kristy Cambron is the third book in the series. I really enjoyed this series based on old castles . Of course, these are love stories as well. I think "The Painted Castle" is my favorite of the three.
This story has three time periods interwoven into the story. The ending to this book was quite a surprise.
This story really kept me turning the pages and when I finished it, I wanted to read more.
These stories make me want to visit castles and I think these stories would make great movies.
I recommend these stories to any reader who like clean love stories with a little bit of suspense that are based on real history.
I received a contemporary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit. These opinions are my own.

About The Painted Castle
A war-torn estate holding its secrets close. A lost library bricked off from the world. And a portrait-maker’s unknown masterpiece of a Queen named Victoria… What stories do they long to tell?
It was supposed to be a one-week snatch-and-grab: survey an art find, collect a hefty fee, and use that to settle historian Kiera Foley’s life back into balance. But from the moment she sets foot in the East Suffolk countryside, the mystery of an old English manor, a crumbling beekeeper’s cottage, and a library that had long ago been sealed off brick by brick, all stir more questions than answers. What begins as a novice assignment instead peels back layers, lulling Keira into the depths of the estate’s long-forgotten history.
Despite questions swirling around the enigmatic, rumored art thief who’s employed her, Keira finds the existence of a portrait captivating enough to upend all of her expectations. This one could be a twin—a painting so close in composition to a known masterpiece, it may be rendered priceless if it truly captured the likeness of a young Queen named Victoria…
1842— In order to salvage what’s left of her family’s shaky circumstances, artist Elizabeth Meade knows her duty must be to marry well. But she hopes looks can be deceiving enough to hide her true motives behind a congenial smile and gain entry into the ballrooms of England’s noble elite. Instead of husband-hunting, Elizabeth searches for the one thing that’s seared to her memory—the eyes of her father’s killer, whom she unwittingly sketched one snowy night in Piccadilly ten years before. She never expects to find answers tucked away in the countryside at Parham Hill, in the form of a portrait-maker who could help her artist dreams come true, if only she could forget the highwayman she’s hunted for the last decade—the estate-owner who unwittingly selects her as his betrothed…
1942—When the 390th Bomb Group arrives at Amelia Woods’ Parham Hill Estate, the American flyboys bring playing cards, B-17 “flying fortresses”, and enough bravado to believe they can triumph over Hitler just by staring him down. Amelia isn’t certain, and she’s unwilling to compromise the safety and security in a carefully-crafted world she’s built for the dozens of London-evacuated children left in her charge. But with Anderson shelters buried in the gardens and an Allied airfield a stone’s throw away, Amelia may have no choice but to wait out the war under blackouts and bombs, and accept help from the captain who offers it—even if it means risking all she has left of her late husband’s memory…
From the streets of Piccadilly and the lavish halls of Buckingham Palace to the countryside surrounding Framlingham Castle, a warn-torn estate, a hidden library, and the lost portrait of a queen come together to write the final chapter in the Lost Castle series. Set in three time periods—the rapid change of Victorian England, the tumultuous skies over England’s eastern shores in WWII, and modern day—The Painted Castle unfolds a legacy of faith and the family we fight for, of risk and reward, and the artful crafting of a story that can be generations in the making… yet still change everything about a single life.
