"Redeeming Trail" by Pastor George McVey
"Redeeming Trail" by Pastor George McVey gets 5 stars from me. I enjoyed this story, the 2nd in the Redemption Tales series, although it wasn't as exciting as the first book, but that is because they are traveling to Redemption. But the middle part really starts getting exciting when they found out who they hired for the scout. The ending makes me anxiously waiting for the 3rd book in this series to see if they captured the villian.
This book continues with Nathan Ryder continuing his journey to Redemption to be the new pastor. This is the story of the people he is traveling with in the wagon train. I love how he finally convinces others that the Negro's are just people like the rest of us and in God's eyes we are all the same. The evil gunslinger Diamond Dale makes trouble for Nathan all through the book. There are heartaches and joys in this book. My heart was actually broken for Lucy's parents and others when she is no longer a part of the wagon train. Why was my heart broken and why wasn't she a part of the train any longer, READ THE STORY AND YOU WILL KNOW AND YOU WILL PROBABLY BE SAD BUT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU READ THE BOOK! But at the end of the story your heart will rejoice with the people of Redemption, and like me will be waiting for book 3. I did not like westerns till I starting reading this series!
I was given a pdf copy by the author for my honest review.
