"Philip's War" by Rachel Muller

They thought the war had ended…but the real battle was just beginning.

When Marine Sergeant Phillip Johnson returns from the Pacific in the winter of 1946, no one could be happier than the gal that’s stuck with him through the duration—his Libby. Finally, it seems 1946 brings new promise to the citizens of Arbor Springs as the town learns to live life post war. But after the homecoming festivities have calmed, Libby senses something is wrong. The gentle and caring man she once knew is now an angry and bitter stranger.
Phillip can’t escape the haunting nightmares born on the bloody islands of battle. Blinded by grisly images, past promises, and buried secrets, new hostilities rise in his tortured mind.
His irrational behavior soon dismantles his marriage. When Phillip’s despair turns volatile, Libby needs an escape.
Will Libby and Phillip find the healing needed to restore their marriage? Or will their love sink in the midst of Phillip’s inward war?

Philip's War' by Rachel D Muller is the third book of the "Love and War" series.  The subject topic is PSTD.

Philip is scared by a memory of what happened in the war and he can't tell anyone about it.

This story shows what happens when you think God has forgotten you or you think you have done something That God cannot forgive you for, it shows you that He doesn't and he will forgive you.

This series has you in tears and then your heart rejoices. Rachel D. Muller wrote these books like she was there and was watching the scene unfold. I am so glad I had the chance to read this series.

I would recommend reading the other two books in this series first because the author does a fantastic job of bringing all three stories together at the end.

This was my favorite of the three.

I was given a  complimentary by the author. These opinions are my own. I give this book 5 stars.
