Biography

George McVey always wanted to be a Superhero, sadly no radioactive storms or animals have been a part of his life. One day while spinning a tall tale for his family, some suggested once again that with all his experiences in ministry, and his imagination he should be writing books. This time it was like lightning struck him and he decided why not.

Since then George has been hard at work using his creative imagination and writing several books. He's still adding to his bibliography to this day. You can find them all on his Amazon.com page

George lives in the wonderful state of Almost Heaven West Virginia. A few years ago he moved from a single family home to a deluxe apartment in the sky, well the fourth floor anyway. He lives with his wife of thirty years, and a service dog named Daisy Mae. He is visited often by his three children and two grandsons.

If you ever come to visit him you will probably find him setting in his lazy boy recliner or at his desk in the corner office, working on some writing project. If not a teaching book, then a novel. If he isn't working on a novel either then he will be working on a short story or blog post. If he isn't doing either of those then he is either asleep or eating his other two favorite past times.

My Review:
I really liked the "The Pastor Replacement Bride(Mail Order Brides of Sanctuary Book 1)" by George McVey. I am a big fan of George MCvey  and was not disappointed in this story and am really looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

What happens when the preacher is being forced to get married so he sends for a mail order bride and the wrong bride shows up instead?

Although the story has a sad beginning, it captured my attention immediately. In fact, some parts of this story made it hard to put down!  I mean this book has brides and wedding and outlaws and a snotty woman and a baby, an aunt and uncles, all the things I. as a reader, like in my novels.

This book is a romance book, and yes, the book talks about marriage and thoughts that are part of marriage, but it is clean and uses Scriptures principles as part of the story line.   I like that the characters were real and the romance scenes were written without graphic details but shows that temptation is real.

Because I know some people are bothered by them,I'll mention that there are errors in this book. That said, they didn't bother me and didn't detract from the story or jerk me out of it. So, for those who are bothered by errors, this book does have them. Even other reviewers who were distracted by the errors commented on how good the story was regardless.

"The Pastor's Replacement Bride (Mail Order Brides of Sanctuary Book 1)" by George McVey is a five star story.

I have book 2 "His Brother's Bride" on my kindle app, and as soon as I finish this review I am going to read it.

thanks Debbie for the kind review. I'm currently going over an edit that should correct all those spelling errors.
