I liked this book and the pictures are colorful and beautiful, but the story is about a girl learning to use silverware and the girl in the pictures looks to be old enough to already be using silverware, except maybe the knife. The message is clearly presented that we are created for a special purpose. The book info says the book is for 8-14 years, but I feel the book would be better for younger children, unless they were reading this to help them learn to read. Yes, I still recommend this book and am giving it 4 stars, just for a younger audience. I did like the quotes and the poems at the back of the book but definitely not for children, they are more for adults. I think it would be fun to show the pictures to a younger child and have them tell you a story just from the pictures ( like why the fork is sad when he is watching the spoon being used.
