AUTHOR INFO:
Heather Randall began her writing career with baby steps, literally. In 2003 she started blogging about her mommy adventures and connecting with like-minded women online. During this time she was also preparing the final bits of a novel that had been written with pen and paper. A friend typed it all up properly for her and, at last, in 2011 When Chicks Hatch was published. All this and homeschooling four children still didn't keep Heather busy enough though. She began reviewing books and products and eventually went to work for The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine.
When God moved her on from there she had learned a ton about copywriting, marketing, editing and developed a confidence online. In 2013 He paved the way for her to purchase Christian Women Affiliate.
She now serves as the CEO of Christian Women Affiliate, LLC and all of its divisions including the CWA Radio Network and The CWA Review Crew. She especially enjoys serving fellow writers through her company. Heather still leaves time for God to fill her up with stories and she is currently working on a second novel.
Heather's hobbies include spending time with family, writing, reading, creating and trading mail art, and blogging. Heather and her family reside in Oklahoma.
MY REVIEW: I will say say this book is a 5 star novel right at the beginning!
I will say this book is a 5 star novel right at the beginning! I was hooked from the first sentence! It is the first book in the “The Chicks of Corbin Bridge “ series by Heather Randall. It is a fictional story that just might be true somewhere. It is about 5 very different woman that have struggles.
This book is Christian Fiction but deals with the subject of adultery and pregnancy out of wedlock. But there is no bedroom scenes or bad language used in this book. There is also not a lot of preaching ( which I don’t mind in books that I’m reading, in fact I like preaching in books I read, I only included this fact in this review for others that don’t want preaching in books they read) but God is mentioned and you know that the characters know Him.
This book is written so well that this reader believed every word I read!
“ When Chicks Hatch” by Heather Randall is a story that makes you experience the feelings of curiosity and surprise and yes,( even a little disgust at a married man), and most of love. You can even feel the love between the characters in these different scenarios. I love how she interweaved all the stories into one!
This is a love story (not just between one man and one woman) for all the characters learn what love is and how forgiveness really is the best love.
I loved this story and it is one that I will be reading time and again and I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!
I recommend this book to everyone that likes to read, but I will caution you you might shed a few tears before you get to the end! I really think you will like the ending even if you do cry!
There is also an recipe at the end of the book for Brad’s Sweet Potato Ravioli, just in time for Christmas, maybe you can start a new tradition and serve this dish at those holidays gatherings.
I received a free copy of this book/Ebook/Product to review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations. I am part of The CWA Review Crew.
