Celebrate Lit Scavengar Hunt with Caryl McAdoo

My Book For The Scavenger Hunt
THEN THE DELUGE COMES / Volume 2

Series: The Generations series brings to life the famous men of God’s Word beginning with the first Adam an ending before the birth of the second.

Blurb:

Obedience assures the preservation of life. In Volume Two by the time of Adam’s death, evil overtakes the sons of Cain filling the earth with lasciviousness and violence. God declares He will not contend forever with man. But, Noah, the only one of the tenth generation to walk perfect before the Lord, hears His word.
MAKE THEE AN ARK OF GOPHER WOOD
ROOMS SHALT THOU MAKE IN THE ARK
AND SHALT PITCH IT WITHIN AND WITHOUT WITH PITCH
With the help of his father Lamech and Grandfather Methuselah—whose name foretells when the deluge will come—Noah and his three sons embark on the massive task of building the giant boat with no idea why except that God said.
Evil, too, heard the Word of the Lord. Lucifer and his angels war in the second heaven to steal, kill, and utterly destroy the earth’s inhabitants. With each child passed through the fire, their battle songs grow stronger, but the Lord works in mysterious ways.

My Review
"Then The Deluge Comes" by Caryl McAdoo is volume 2 of the "The Generations"series and is Noah's story before the flood.  This story was interesting but I felt it lacked something,  it didn't tell of how Noah tried to warn others that the flood was coming. I thought the story was more a love story between all the characters, yes God is love.  I really liked  the book of the book when she explained her beliefs and gave scriptures to prove her point. She also did this at the book of book 1 " A Little Lower Than The Angels".

I think these stories would be better understood if read in order and I think a reader would have to have some idea of the Biblical account before understanding these books.

Like I said the book was interesting and made me rethink some things, but  I liked book one better and I have the other  two books and will be reading them. I think book 3 is about Noah and his family on the ark.

I was given a complimentary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit. These opinions are my own.

Hey Debbie! Thank you for reading THEN THE DELUGE COMES! And in your review is exactly one of the reasons why I wrote it! :) We have these familiar stories in our heads that do not match up with the Word--like Noah warning everyone. He didn't. They weren't scrambling to get on his boat either when it started raining . . . at least not according to the Scripture :) Like the three wise men who were never at the manger when Christ was born :) All these stories are NOT in line with the traditional ones we've heard, yet they DO MATCH up with God's Telling :) Love and hugs and blessings!
